Honeywell’s Solstice® family honored with “2022 Carbon Neutral Solutions Award”
On August 30, 2022, Honeywell’s Solstice® low-GWP series won the “Carbon Neutral Solution Award” at the 2022 International Green Zero Carbon Festival. Based on Honeywell’s breakthrough HFO technology, this family of products helps customers reduce their carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency without sacrificing end product performance. At present, Solstice® series products are widely used in Industrial and commercial refrigeration, industrial and commercial air conditioners and heat pumps, vehicle air conditioners and heat pumps, foaming agents for thermal insulation materials, propellants for personal and household care products, and cleaning liquid solvents.

Honeywell foresaw the need for lower global warming potential (GWP) solutions more than a decade ago to help countries around the world fight climate change, and has invested $1 billion in hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs) Technology research and development and expansion of production capacity. In recent years, based on the requirements of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, many countries and regions are gradually reducing the use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). Honeywell’s Solstice® low-GWP series of products are being widely used in the Chinese market. For example, in the automotive field, Honeywell provides HFO-1234yf refrigerant with ultra-low global warming potential to customers such as Volvo Cars and NIO in China, providing Chinese car owners with a lower-carbon driving environment; in biopharmaceuticals In the field, Sinopharm Holding Shanghai Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Sinopharm Group, adopted Honeywell’s low-GWP, high-energy-efficiency refrigerant Solstice® N40 (R-448A) in its vaccine cold storage expansion project in Shanghai. Stock up on various vaccines for use in the Shanghai area, including the Covid-19 vaccine.
