Advantech AIW-210 and AIW-211, new product sharing of industrial GNSS solutions
Advantech recently released two members of the AIW-200 series – AIW-210 and AIW-211. These advanced GNSS wireless modules feature an Industrial-grade wide-temperature design to operate in harsh environments. In fact, these GNSS modules utilize the support of Advantech Industrial Wireless (AIW), as well as accurate positioning capabilities and reliable timing signals, to provide navigation capabilities for long-distance truck transportation, fleet management, and cold chain logistics, while operating in agricultural drones and heavy-duty implemented in the device.
Ultra-stable and reliable instrument-grade GNSS positioning
AIW-210/211 is a stand-alone GNSS module that utilizes the u-blox NEO-M9N chipset and supports meter-level GNSS positioning with 92 channels. These modules can simultaneously acquire and track multiple satellites – including GPS, QZSS, GLONASS, BEIDOU, GALILEO and SBAS, through multiple groups of satellites, providing maximum position availability. Utilizing different satellites enables the receiver to select the best signal, maximizing the positioning accuracy of the solution when used in challenging conditions. Additionally, support for Satellite-Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) – such as WAAS, EGNOS and MSAS – improves accuracy and availability.
Versatile and flexible multi-form factor design
AIW-211 is a stamp package module (Stamp type) with built-in GNSS on the platform to adapt to the use of small devices – such as drones and AGVs. AIW-211 supports industrial grade operating temperature (-40 ~ 85 °C) and advanced shock and vibration protection. Additionally, it has full CE-RED certification, reducing time to market when integrated into various land, air and sea applications. The AIW-210 is an M.2 2242 B-key form factor offering connectivity types that support a wide range of platforms. Likewise, its M.2-type connection and USB 2.0 functionality generate plug-and-play capabilities for easy customer integration.
