On December 22, 2022, KUKA China Laboratory was awarded the first “National robot Testing and Evaluation Center (Headquarters)” data exchange laboratory, and the awarding ceremony was held in KUKA China Shanghai Songjiang Park. The listing authorization marks the high recognition and trust of the headquarters of the National Evaluation Center for KUKA China’s product quality control and laboratory level, and also indicates that the two parties have opened a new chapter in comprehensively deepening the partnership.

Xin Haotian, general manager of Shanghai Tianwei Certification Technology Co., Ltd., and Li Hongwei, R&D director of KUKA China, attended the unveiling ceremony of the authorized laboratory and signed a cooperation memorandum on behalf of both parties.

According to the memorandum of cooperation, on the premise of realizing complementary advantages and win-win cooperation, the two parties will set up an Industrial robot digital certification research and implementation team, and take the lead in carrying out digital certification research and implementation work in the Robot Industry. In addition, for Industrial Robot products, study the practical application of advanced means such as “internet +” and big data to the quality certification of robot products, innovate the implementation mode of certification, and gradually expand cooperation to more product lines and other subdivided application fields.

Shanghai Tianwei Certification Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Tianwei) is the certification brand of Shanghai Electrical Appliance Science Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd. Relying on SEC’s long history and technology accumulation, and on the basis of traditional industrial product certification, the third-party certification body focuses on the research and implementation of certification technology for new fields, new products and new technologies. Under the guidance of relevant national ministries and commissions, SEC and Tianwei lead the China Robot Testing and Certification Alliance to carry out the construction and implementation of the China Robot Certification (CR) system.
