“Made in Luoyang” fire-fighting robot Daqing Oilfield “fires out”

The 2nd National Hazardous Chemicals Rescue Technology Competition was held at PetroChina Daqing Oilfield Company in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province from August 23rd to 26th. The competition, co-sponsored by the State Administration of Work Safety, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province, attracted 30 teams from 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and related central enterprises to participate.

On the morning of the competition, with the order of the drill headquarters, the CITIC Heavy Industry special robot immediately entered a state of war.

In the simulated petrochemical plant leaking fire and explosion accident, the waiting water tanker sounded its siren and drove into the fire. The fire is spreading and there is a possibility of an explosion at any time. After the fire officers and soldiers were all evacuated from the fire scene, 6 “Luoyang-made” explosion-proof fire-fighting reconnaissance Robots appeared and rushed straight to the hinterland of the fire. In an instant, 6 water columns nearly 100 meters long spewed out from the fire water cannon and shot towards the center of the fire. The jet flow was seven to eight times that of the hand-held fire hose. After more than 10 minutes, the fire was completely extinguished. (pictured above)

Hazardous chemical accidents have the characteristics of suddenness, complexity, turbulence, and mass. Once an accident occurs, it is very important to carry out on-site emergency response as soon as possible. As a new technology and new equipment unveiled for the first time, CITIC Heavy Industry’s explosion-proof fire-fighting and reconnaissance robot has received high attention and unanimous praise from the participating experts. The application performance of this kind of robot is good, and it is of great demonstration significance to promote the national emergency rescue team for hazardous chemicals to speed up the pace of “machine substitution” and effectively deal with sudden disasters.
